Today was my first day with the amazing, energetic, curious, and sweet, sweet students at Bigwoods Primary. To say I prompted a lot of curiousity is an understatement.
I arrived just as morning devotions began, many in song form. Almost all of the students have completed their end-of-year exams by now, except the 4th levels. Therefore I spend much of my morning grading papers, trying to help Ms. Berlin.
Around 12pm, the students broke for lunch. For many it was a humble portion of rice and stewed meat. My PB&J intrigued several of the students.
After we ate, I spent a good hour running around playing their version of hide & seek which involved a lot of running, screaming, and ushering-of me into better hiding locations.
The latter half of my school day was spent assisting some of the fourth levels with mathematics.
At 3:00pm we said goodbye and I made my way back with a backpack full of love letters (to be read) and the promise of tomorrow!
